This job is one of the most important in our company and it is made for the Former Math Olympians and for Teachers. The role is to connect and help our Customers achieve their Olympiad goals.
For this it is important to be flexible (in order to help a bigger number of students), with experience (basic general teaching knowledge for the Former Olympians is accepted as well), creative (teaching means being creative with the teaching techniques as well), connected with us (to know what we need to do and to respect the limits we impose), to be relational, but not subjective (the key is to be able to hold a “safety” distance between the students).
A tiny name with huge implications. Some examples of Customer Service jobs in IMECO:
- Administrator in the International Mathematical Association channel
- Field Department Head
- Math LAB Mentor in Exlaining and Providing olympiad problems
- Evaluator in competitions and tournaments (one that can give to the students a report of their work done in the competition)
- Creator or mock olympiads and tournaments
A noteworthy feature of this job is, however, the freedom of choosing what to do. One can come with some amazing project that we would never think of and help us a lot. We discuss inside the team any project we do, provide opinions and we decide which is the right option.
